Observed Large-Scale Pattern Summary

• An MCS was approaching the forecast area from southern Ontario late in the morning on the 18th.

• The area was forecast to be north of a warm front with modest CAPES but very strong, clockwise turning shear.

• The most instability was forecast over Pennsylvania, the most shear was forecast over upstate NY.
