The tracks of the upper and surface low pressure areas indicated a light snow event.
A closer look at large scale forcing mechanisms indicated moderately strong large-scale forcing.
Frontal-scale forcing and instability focused the lift across our area, but only for a very short time.
Result was a burst of very heavy snow, but storm totals were in the moderate range.
