This slide of storm relative flow shows a distinct convergence zone extending from north to south across northeast Pennsylvania. Of particular interest are two distinct rotational couplets, one near Carbondale, and one farther north in southeast Susquehanna County. The southern couplet near Carbondale was associated with straight-line winds estimated at 80 mph, and significant damage near Carbondale.
