Speaker Notes:
0 hour analyses of low-level wind from the NAM model, valid on December 2nd at 18z and viewed on a 40 km grid, indicated a backed 925 mb flow south of Lake Ontario, resulting in enhanced low-level directional shear across that area. Meanwhile, the flow over the lake was not as sheared. The result was a broad area of low-level convergence east of Lake Ontario, corresponding to the area of snow showers.
