The 30 hour forecast from the 22/00 UTC GFS model run was indicating a 988 mb low, in about the same location as the Eta. Despite very similar forecasts at both 500 mb and the surface, the GFS QPF was lighter in our area by about 0.2 inches (the forecast was for a total of around 0.3 inches across the north and around 0.8 inches in the Poconos).
