At 23/00 UTC, the frontogenesis was located across northern New York and New England. The south side of the frontogenesis was collocated with negative EPV across much of southern New York, however relative humidities across much of that area were only around 60 percent. Some negative EPV on the south side of the frontogenesis was collocated with 80 percent (near saturated) relative humidities over eastern New York. Based on this data, one would expect an enhanced frontogenetical circulation, but not necessarily slantwise convection.
