Tornadoes in December
  • Tornado-indicating convective parameters (e.g. EHI) suggested the possibility of tornadoes.

  • Unorganized convection ahead of the surface cold front tapped incredible winds aloft to cause some surface wind damage.

  • When more organized convection developed along surface front, it took advantage of favorable shear/instability (e.g. EHI) for tornado formation over our southeastern counties.
