0-10 cm soil moisture at 12z June 26, 2006
Notes:
By 12z on the 26th, the soil moisture data indicated that the area from northeast Pennsylvania through the Catskill mountains was well primed for flash flooding (soil moisture values ranged from 0.36 to 0.38 in that area). Note that no flooding had occurred in that area as of yet. Farther west, the Finger Lakes area was less primed (values ranging from 0.32 to 0.34).
