Overview

  • The storm was originally expected to be a big snow producer for most of the forecast area.

  • A change from snow to sleet and freezing rain, followed by a dry slot, severely reduced snow amounts, especially across the central and southern counties.

  • The storm ended up producing heavy snow amounts for the northern county warning area, with light to moderate amounts across the central and south.

  • Unexpectedly heavy snow during the “back-end” of the storm was primary responsible for heavy snow across the north.
