Overview

  • Heavy lake effect snow fell across central New York from February 2nd through the 12th.

  • 10 day total snowfall amounts ranged as high as 60 to 100 inches across northwest Oneida county.

  • The snow was primarily north of Oneida county before February 5th.

  • From the 5th through the 10th bands of heavy snow moved back and forth across Oneida county.

  • This study will focus on the period from February 5-6, when some of the heaviest snow occurred in Oneida county (amounts during that time exceeded 30 inches across the northwest part of the county).
