• Deep, cold west-northwest flow across the eastern Great Lakes.

• Lake effect snow band over lake Ontario had an upstream connection with lake Huron.

• The band dropped south across northern Oneida county early on the 5th , then remained over northern Oneida county through the afternoon hours.
