In contrast, the forecast omega pattern at BGM indicated that the strongest upward vertical motion (around 10 µbs-1) , would be located above and below the -12 to -18 degree C layer, with a relative minimum of lift in the dendritic growth layer. This would not be as favorable for dendritic crystal growth and heavy snow accumulations in the BGM area.Slide 18
