• A shallow frontal zone over the lake plain south of Lake Ontario.

• Isolated severe storms fired on the shallow frontal zone, well north of forcing associated with the deeper frontal zone (near the leading edge of the mid-level dry slot).

• A large area of heavy rain with some embedded storms developed with the deeper frontal zone.
