Forecast soundings at SYR on the 14th were also associated with a deep moist layer extending to above 600 mb. Lapse rates from the surface to 800 mb were steep, but the profiles were more stable from 800 mb to 600 mb than on the 6th and 7th. The flow direction on the 14th was generally from 300 to 320 degrees. 850 mb temperatures were somewhat colder than on the 6th and 7th, with values of around -20 degrees C forecast.|
