This summary of severe reports during the late afternoon on the 27th indicated a fairly minor event, with a few damaging wind reports from near Corning northeastward to just south of Watkins Glen. An EF1 tornado touched down several miles northwest of Corning. The damage ended as the bow echo weakened while moving farther east.
