In the upper-troposphere, the data on this slide indicates that 10000 m trajectories ending over southern Quebec were from the south, originating near the hurricane at 12z on the 28th. This implies that there would be potential for upper-level jet intensification over Quebec, as upper-level outflow from the hurricane transported warmth northward, raising heights south of the jet over Quebec, and tightening the height gradient.
