Equillibrium level storm relative flows for these events were 40 kt or less, and were quite low for the July 26th event. Previous local research indicated that an equilibrium level storm relative flow greater than 45 kts favored hail events over wind events, while equilibrium level storm relative flow of 30 kts or less favored wind over hail. The data on this slide also indicates that much of the shear for these cases occurred in the lowest 3 km , as the difference between the 0-6 and 0-3 km shears was generally 10 kt or less.
