Notes:
Spectrum width values at 1942 indicated a maximum of near 20 associated with the tornado on the ground south of Corning at that time. Another area of high spectrum width can be seen developing farther south along the line over southeast Steuben county. This would eventually become co-located with a tornado moving across Elmira.
