Notes:
The December 9-10, 2014 storm was associated with highly amplified mid-to-upper tropospheric flow and the formation of closed low from the surface through 300 mb. A coupled jet pattern can be seen through 00z on the 10th, with central NY and northeast Pa in the right entrance region of a jet over the Canadian Maritimes and the left exit of a jet over the southeast U.S.
