700 mb comparison 24 hr forecast vs. 00 hr

The data on this slide compares the 24 hour forecast from the NAM run at 12z on the 9th valid at 12z on the 10th (left), with the 0 hr analysis from the NAM valid at 12z on the 10th (right). The 700 mb low verified just a bit farther northeast than the 24 hour forecast. In addition, the temperature gradient across central New York appeared to be stronger on the analysis than in the forecast.
