Radar data - 2300z (EF2)Notes:Data associated with a tornado that touched down over central Madison county around 2300 UTC is shown on this slide. This was a tornado that produced 4 fatalities. The tornado appeared to be associated with the northern end of a book-end vortex. Rotation as indicated by the 0.5 degree SRM increased very rapidly just prior to tornado touchdown. Note also the intense rotation associated with the supercell to the northeast over Oneida county. No tornado was occurring with the supercell at that time.
