Notes:
At 250 mb, the northern mid-Atlantic region was in a region characterized by a coupled jet configuration; in the right entrance region of a jet over southeast Canada and the left exit region of a jet over the southeast U.S. The strongest winds aloft all shifted east of the area later on the 30th as the upper trough moved east toward the east coast.
