Notes:
A mid-to-upper tropospheric trough was moving slowly east from the Great Lakes toward the northern mid-Atlantic area on the 2nd. Dry air at mid levels was located across the southern Great Lakes area, but was making only very slow eastward progress and did appear to affect New York and Pennsylvania through 00z on the 3rd.
