Notes:
Model forecasts from the NAM valid at Elmira late on the 1st indicated modest MLCAPE values around 500 J/kg during the late afternoon. Of note were the very strong wind fields and long, clock-wise curved hodograph, associated with low level winds from 40 to 60 kts.
