At 250 mb, the jet streak was moving slowly east across southeast Canada, while the strongest area of upper-level divergence was located from northern New England to northern Pennsylvania. Southeasterly 850 mb of 30 to 40 kts were indicated flowing toward the upper-level divergence across Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.
