At 250 mb, a pronounced jet streak was located over eastern Canada (green shading). Strong upper-level divergence associated with the entrance region of the jet streak was located from northern New England to northeast Ohio. A 40 kt southeasterly low-level (850 mb) flow was indicated flowing from the southeast, toward the region of upper-level divergence.
