This 6 hour forecast of low-level wind from the 18z run of the NAM (valid at 00z on the 3rd) shows that the low-level shear south of Lake Ontario was forecast to decrease between 18z and 00z. Some convergence was forecast to persist over Lake Ontario, however the convergence was weak.
