Sounding parameters associated with this event can be compared with previous events in central New York and northeast Pennsylvania through an application developed at the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Binghamton. The sounding parameters from this event were determined by examining RUC proximity soundings, and can be entered into the application through the GUI shown on this slide.
