NAM vs RUC soundings valid 12/12 00z - BGM
Notes:
The 00z December 11 NAM forecast for BGM (Binghamton) valid at 00z on the 12th indicated snow, however there was a deep layer with temperatures forecast very close to freezing. The verifying 00 hour RUC forecast valid at 00z on the 12th indicated slightly warmer temperatures than the NAM forecast between 850 and 800 mb. The RUC indicated a better chance of mixed precipitation, as opposed to snow.|
