Conclusions
Cool temps aloft combined with large CAPE in the hail growth zone promoted the development of large hail.
- Prolific hail producer for the BGM CWA.
Although strong winds and dry air existed at midlevels, down-shear storm relative winds advected clouds and precipitation ahead of the convective cells.
- The clouds and precipitation stabilized the low-level airmass, mitigating the strong wind threat.
