Wind and pressure on the 290 degree K surface indicated persistent forcing for upward motion across New York and Pennsylvania from the 25th through the 26th. Isentropic lift began during the early morning hours on the 25th with southeasterly flow around 700 mb. The mid-level flow gradually backed to easterly through the early morning hours on the 26th, with isentropic lift continuing.
