Surface plot - 21zNotes:A closer look at surface conditions over central New York and Pennsylvania during the afternoon on the 26th indicated a wave of low pressure along the south shore of Lake Ontario, with a warm front extending eastward toward the mid-Hudson valley. Temperatures south of the warm front were unseasonably warm, with readings generally in the 70s and dew points in the mid 50s to lower 60s. Moisture pooling along the warm front resulted in an area of mid 60s dew points directly north of the warm front as indicated by observations at Syracuse and Fulton.Slide 4 |
