Plumes - 03z SREF run

Precipitation forecasts from the SREF for Avoca, Pa (AVP) and Binghamton, NY (BGM), are shown on these plume diagrams (courtesy of WFO CTP). The 03z run on the 14th indicated a good chance for mixed precipitation at AVP between 00z and 06z on the 15th. Mean liquid equivalent of snowfall for the event was forecast to be 0.69 inches. At BGM, a few ensemble members were indicating a period of freezing rain between 00z and 06z, but the majority of the precipitation appeared to be snow. Mean liquid equivalent of snowfall for the event was forecast to be 1.02 inches.
