Notes:
The 80 km resolution depiction of the NAM forecast valid at 18z on the 26th (left) showed a broad area of mid-level frontogenesis associated an with open wave. A closer look using a 40 km depiction of the NAM (right) showed two distinct frontal zones, one over eastern Pennsylvania and one to the northwest over central New York.
