Radar reflectivity and velocity associated with the first convective line – 1610zNotes:Two waves of convection moved across the area on the 25th. The first was a line of storms that tracked southeast across extreme northeast Pennsylvania and the western Catskills shortly after noon. Scattered wind damage was reported with this line southeast of Binghamton. Note that outbound velocities on the WSR-88D were less than 50 kts at the lowest elevation angle when damaging winds were occurring, however some interesting reflectivity signatures could be seen, including an inflow notch on the leading edge of the line near and just north of Hancock New York.
