Forecast errors from the Albany verification program

This slide shows the difference between the analysis and the forecast. Note that snowfall was over-forecast by a few inches across the north. The forecast was good in the central part of the forecast area. This analysis indicates that the snowfall was under-forecast across the south, however recall that the analysis was not good in that area, and in fact the snowfall forecast in that area was quite accurate.
