Summary
- A classic low-CAPE / high shear severe weather event hit central NY and northeast Pa late on May 1st.
- Large-scale dynamical forcing was strong.
- High resolution models handled the event very well, including the ensembles.
- No tornadoes were reported in our forecast area (however CTP had at least 4).
- Ensembles showed hints of the stripe of heavier QPF in northeast Pa but were underdone in that area.
