By 06 UTC, the mid-tropospheric (500 to 300 mb) lowered stability (as indicated by weakly positive (purple shaded) EPV) had shifted northeast of the area, to a location over northeast New York and New England. This would indicate that the intensity of the frontogenetical circulation may have begun to decrease at this time (at least at mid-levels).
