Observed wind at ELM and BGM
Notes:
Wind speeds at ELM and BGM on the 29th averaged 20 to 30 mph during the afternoon, with some gusts past 40 mph at BGM, and a few gusts to around 50 mph at ELM. Gusty winds continued through the morning on the 30th, with the peak gust of 49 mph recorded at BGM shortly after midnight. In general, the observed winds at ELM and BGM were slightly less than expected. A high wind warning was in effect for this area, for wind gusts of 50 to 70 mph.
