Notes:

Hurricane Sandy originated south of Cuba, then tracked north to a position east of Cape Hatteras, before turning northwest and making landfall over southern New Jersey. This was a historic disaster for portions of the mid-Atlantic coast, especially from New Jersey north to the New York City area.
