The graph on this slide shows a time series of WSR-88D indicated rotational velocity across a distance of 0.5 nm associated with the Schuyler county tornado prior to and at the time of tornado touchdown. The rotational velocity was modest prior to tornado touchdown, then intensified very rapidly as the tornado touched down.
