500 mb Vorticity Analysis on June 3rd

Notes:

At 1700 UTC, 3 June, 500 mb height contours are solid black, vorticity isopleths are dashed black, with actual vorticity values color-filled. A northward moving vorticity lobe did provide some support for scattered thunderstorms during the midday and early afternoon hours, well out ahead of Barry, from Pennsylvania and New York into New England.
